Artists join fight for Reef

21 artists including John Butler, Missy Higgins, the Cat Empire and Fat Freddys Drop have teamed up to release an album in support of the Great Barrier Reef.

The Album available through  Bandcamp is titled Sounds For The Reef and will see proceeds going to legal action against dredging and dumping in the reef.

This comes after a legal court battle between Fight for the Reef a grassroots organisation took the Australian Federal government to court over the legality of industrial activity in the World Heritage area. The courts ultimately threw out Fight for the Reefs case.

Fight for the Reef is a parternship betweeten World Wildlife Fund Australia n and the Australian Marine Conservation Society with the goal of conserving and protecting the reef.

The $10 album is available in FLAC, MP3 and other digital formats and is available now here.
